Firstly, on your web browser, visit spectrum.net home page.
Click the menu bar indicated by three horizontal lines by the left hand side of your computer.
A set of options will display. Select "Create a Username" option.
Check the box below to confirm that you are not a robot and click "Next".
- Spectrum will send you a verification via text message, email or you may receive a call depending on your choice. Enter the verification code in the appropriate space.
- Enter your first name, last name and contact email address.
- In the next field, choose a username. You may use an email address as your username or you may like to choose any other name. Note: A username must have up to six (6) characters.
- Choose a password for your account. Note that passwords must be up to 8 - 20 characters and contains uppercase, lowercase and symbols.
- Choose a secret question and answer for yourself. Make sure you choose the one you can easily remember because you can always use it to verify or retrieve your account details.

- Move to spectrum.net home page.
- Click the horizontal line I showed you above and select "Create a username".
- Select Account Info and provide your Account number and Security Number on your bill.
- Check the box below to confirm that you are not a robot and click Continue.
- In the next page, choose a means of verifying your identity. Either through text, email or phone call.
- Enter the verification code and verify.
- Provide your first name, last name and contact email address. This is not the spectrum email but any other email address. If you don't have any, create one in few minutes.
- Choose a username and build a strong password. Follow the guideline for building username and password above to do this one.

- First of all, download the application on your smart phone. If you are using an android or Tablet, download from Google play store. Download from App Store if you are using iPhone or iOS.

- First, open the spectrum app and select "Create Username".
- Choose Account Info.
- Provide your Account Number and Security Code.
- Check the tiny box to confirm that you are not a robot and click Continue.
- Choose a method of identity verification, either through text, email or phone call.
- Enter the code and verify your identity.
- Choose a username and password for your account. Also choose a secret question and answer for yourself. Make sure you choose the one you can remember.
That is how you create a username with your app. Now, you can start access spectrum services. But, you have to wait up to 72 hours after creating your account to access Spectrum TV or any other TV channel.
It is important to let you know that creating a username and password does not automatically create an email address for a user, A user has the option to create or not to create an email address. If you want to sign up for email account, take these steps. But the general rule is that you must create a username before you create an email address.

Sign in to your spectrum account using the username and password you just created.
Select the menu icon located at the top left of your PC.
Choose "Manage Account" option.
Select "Service" and choose "Internet".
Choose Create Email Address. But, if you already have a spectrum email address then, you have to create a new username.
Another page will pop up. Select "Create Mailbox".
Choose a username but don't add "@spectrum.net" because it has been added automatically for you.
Select Finish and your email account is set. Select Mailbox to proceed to email account.
